Dr. Tibor Navracsics

 

Tibor Navracsics graduated in 1990 from the Faculty of Law of the Eötvös Loránd University. In 1999, he received his doctorate in political science from ELTE ÁJK. From 2006 to 2014, he was a Member of Parliament. From 2010 to 2014, he held the position of Minister of Administration and Justice and Deputy Prime Minister. In 2014, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and from 2014 to 2019 he worked as the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport.

 

He was the head of the European Strategy Research Institute at the University of Public Service until June 2022 and the government commissioner of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture program. In addition, he is an honorary professor at the University of Public Service and an associate professor at the Institute of Political Science of the Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University.

He is currently Minister for Regional Development and a researcher at the Europe Strategy Research Institute.
