Nyilas Laura

Laura Nyilas is a Researcher at the Europe Strategy Research Institute of the University of Public Service. She graduated from the University of Public Service with a degree in International Public Service Management in 2021, and earned her Master of Studies in Government and Leadership in 2023. Since 2023 she has been a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Military Sciences of the University of Public Service, where her doctoral research focuses on security and defence policy, with particular attention to strategy-making in Central and Eastern Europe in the context of the changing world order.

She has been actively involved in academic and policy-oriented work since 2018, including participation in multiple excellence programs, and national and international conferences. She joined the Europe Strategy Research Institute as a researcher in 2026. Her broader research interests include strategic planning, regional security cooperation, foreign policy analysis, and the evolving role of Central and Eastern Europe in global geopolitics.
