Rawand Ben Rrahim

Rawand Ben Brahim is a PhD candidate in International Relations and Security Studies at Corvinus University of Budapest, currently awaiting her defence date. Her dissertation focuses on the Responsibility to Rebuild in post-conflict zones following international interventions, with a particular emphasis on the long-term sustainability of peacebuilding efforts.

She currently works as a researcher at the József Eötvös Research Centre’s European Strategy Research Institute (EUSTRAT) at the University of Public Service. In this role, she contributes to international research project development and global partnership expansion, with a focus on academic cooperation—particularly within EU frameworks.

Between 2022 and 2025, she served as Chair of the International Committee of the Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Candidates (DOSZ), where she led cultural and scientific collaboration among doctoral representatives from over 40 countries. In parallel, she has been serving as one of Hungary’s national delegates to EURODOC, the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers.

With extensive international experience, Rawand has written, managed, and facilitated projects funded by Erasmus+, the Council of Europe, the Tempus Foundation, and others across the globe. Her thematic expertise includes peacebuilding, human rights, social inclusion, youth empowerment, intercultural dialogue, and capacity-building.

She also has professional experience in marketing and communication, including event promotion, stakeholder engagement, and serving as Master of Ceremony and moderator at several high-level events and conferences.

Rawand pursued her academic studies in Tunisia, the United States, and Hungary. She holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Pécs, and a BA in Psychology and English from Xavier University of Louisiana and the University of Manouba. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
